Farm Experience at Klonaras Farm

At Klonaras Livestock Farm in Taxiarchis, Grevena, Macedonia, visitors can participate in the daily farming activities of this mountain livestock unit — connecting with the authentic rhythms of animal husbandry in the pristine Grevena highlands. Established by Michalis and Soultana Klonara in 1997, the unit underwent a relocation to modern facilities encompassing a total area of 2500 square meters in 2007. In 2009, the unit initiated a collaboration with the “MAKEDONIA” Sheep Farming Cooperative, the sole official entity dedicated to enhancing the Chios sheep breed. In recognition of its excellence, the farm was honored with the 1st prize as the best livestock unit in Greece in 2014.
