Twenty-five women from Mesotopos – Lesbos joined forces in 1998 to revive forgotten flavors using traditional recipes. Their dedication and hard work have transformed their cooperative into a thriving business, housed in an impressive 850-square-meter building. This facility boasts modern cooking premises, meeting all production and quality control standards. Additionally, it features a showroom for local products, offices, educational facilities, an event hall, and a parking lot.
As a unique gastronomic and cultural center in southwest Lesvos, our cooperative offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, inviting visitors to indulge in culinary experiences that bridge the past and the future. Through our modern laboratory, we harness the bounty of the Lesbian land to resurrect these forgotten flavors, imbuing them with value and presenting them to you. In doing so, we hope to evoke cherished memories of a bygone era when life was more carefree, reminiscent of the aromas from your grandmothers’ kitchens.

Visitors have the exciting opportunity to choose from three captivating experiences. These immersive encounters not only provide an insight into the world of traditional food preparation but also allow participants to get hands-on, creating lasting memories and embracing the rich tapestry of local culinary culture.
Booking Options
Visitors are actively involved in crafting traditional pasta, including varieties like vermicelli and noodles. They’ll engage in the art of kneading dough with milk and yellow flour, with each member of the group receiving their portion. Our expert instructors guide the group in kneading the dough on spacious trays. Following this hands-on pasta-making session, visitors will embark on a fascinating tour of our premises, providing them with deeper insights into the entire production process.
Visitors dive into a hands-on session where they master the art of crafting sesame pasteli from scratch. This interactive experience is enhanced by a delightful tasting session, offering visitors the chance to savor the sesame pasteli they’ve personally created. To further enrich their understanding, visitors are then guided through an insightful tour of our premises, shedding light on the intricate production process.
Visitors enthusiastically engage in the creative process of crafting air-dried amygdalota, a delectable confection composed of almonds, icing sugar, anthonero, and vanilla. This journey entails grinding almonds and expertly blending the ingredients to achieve a perfect, uniform dough.
Adding a personalized touch, visitors are encouraged to sculpt the dough into diverse shapes, making their amygdalota truly unique. The finishing touch involves a delicate dusting of icing sugar, followed by meticulous packaging.
