Callicounis Distillery holds the distinguished honour of being one of the oldest distilleries still operating in Greece under its founding family’s ownership — a tradition that began in 1850 in the Peloponnese. Over 170 years of continuous production make Callicounis a living monument to Greek spirits heritage, founded in Kalamata by Nikolaos Callicounis, who introduced steam distillation technology to the region.
