Callicounis Distillery holds the distinguished honour of being one of the oldest distilleries still operating in Greece under its founding family’s ownership — a tradition that began in 1850 in the Peloponnese. Over 170 years of continuous production make Callicounis a living monument to Greek spirits heritage. Callicounis Distillery was founded thanks to the inspiration and skill of the company founder, Nikolaos Callicounis, who envisioned and introduced steam technology to Kalamata in 1800.
