Beekeeping Experience at From A to Bee

Our urban apiary is nestled in Pallini, surrounded by lush olive groves and scenic vineyards at the foothills of the Penteli mountain, just 17 kilometers from Athens International Airport. Our team is composed of passionate individuals with diverse qualifications, each bringing their expertise in nature, the environment, bees, and culinary arts. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Are you feeling ready to dive into the magic realm of bees? Come along! We’ll take you there…

First, you have to learn the importance and role of bees in the ecosystem and how to protect them. Then we’ll guide you to the apiary and show you the tools and equipment we use in every day’s work.

You’ll observe worker bees foraging and collecting in a natural environment. We’ll talk about all the hive products.

It’s time now for some hands-on experience! How?

Well, by exploring a living beehive!

The adventure will include wearing a beekeeping suit, lighting a bee smoker, and spending some time as a real beekeeper.

You’ll be shown what to look for inside a hive, how to spot the queen, observe the navigation dance, and how to inspect a busy colony.

It does not require any additional or previous experience. The activity is very safe, and exciting, just make sure you're dressed properly for that (trousers and closed shoes).
