OAKMEAL began in 2015 and is the first and only company in the world that commercially makes delicious and nutritious gluten-free flour from acorns. The company sells flour to other producers of food and cosmetics worldwide. OAKMEAL’s Acorn Cookies are sold worldwide. Marcie, OAKMEAL’s founder, is considered the world’s expert on working with acorns and has written a book, Eating Acorns, available on Amazon. OAKMEAL hosts volunteers from around the world each Autumn to help collect acorns across Kea island. OAKMEAL also buys acorns from several areas of Greece as well as Kea island.

Visitors learn from the world’s expert on working with acorns for food and cosmetics and see all the practical steps for preparing acorns to be edible. Marcie will answer all the questions you might have in a very friendly environment following her presentation. Visitors can taste acorn cookies and vegan energy bars
