Liepouris winery was founded in 1952 by grandfather Dimitrios in Keratea, 20 km from Athens airport, who established the business which is now being managed by the third generation. Today, his grandson Dimitrios manages the winery, having replaced the old and traditional equipment with a new modern one, improving the quality of the wines produced while keeping the local character by using modern winemaking methods, and giving a distinct weight on Greece’s traditional wine, retsina, that ages in oak barrels to achieve a very high quality.
Our vineyards stretch across an area of 18 hectares produce between 3,000 and 4,000 kg/ ha, of the Savatiano variety as the dominant one, as well as by Mandilaria, Agiorgitiko, Muscat of Hamburg, and Malagousia, all Greek grape varieties.
