Located on beautiful Santorini, the Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum has everything a visitor would want to know about winemaking in one of the most unique places on earth. With the Koutsoyannopoulos’ family knowledge and through the historical exhibits, guests will get a glimpse of what was the life of a wine producer in Santorini in the old days.
This is a one-of-a-kind museum, nestled inside the rock, a natural labyrinth, eight meters below the ground and 300 meters long. It took twenty-one years of hard work, patience, and perseverance to complete this wine museum in order to share the family’s passion and love for tradition and great winemaking.
TOUR AND TASTING
Throughout the museum, there are many representations of what life was like for vine-growers dating all the way back to the 1600s. Visitors can learn the history of wine through an audio guide available in 14 languages or a guidebook (available in 22 languages). They will see all the stages of the winemaking process from vine to wine as well as a range of machinery used in the vineyard and for the winemaking from the old days to today, valuable equipment used by past generations to produce high-quality wines.
Finally, we invite guests to taste four of our best wines in our special wine-tasting area that will enhance the experience.
