The Grampsas’ Family Winery is located on the beautiful Ionian island of Zakynthos, in the semi-mountainous village of Lagopodo at the foot of mount Vrachionas.
Childhood memories of grape harvest and of the aromas of the must during fermentation led the two brothers, Christos and Tassos, to establish a modern winery on the lands where they grew up in the year 2011.
Their aim was to highlight the unexplored richness of local varieties, such as Goustolidi, Pavlos, Skiadopoulo and Avgoustiatis, and to restore the island’s great viticultural position to its rightful place on the wine map of Greece.
Harmoniously combining a respect for tradition and up-to-date knowledge of developments in oenology, the visit offers the wine lovers a unique experience.
TOUR AND TASTING
Visitors have the opportunity to see the tools the previous generations used for cultivating the vineyards, and also to learn about the wine-making process of old. A tour of our modern facilities will inform them about our wine production and bottling process.
Finally, one can visit the wine cellar with the new French oak barrels where our red wines age and enjoy a wine tasting.
