In 1969, the Gerontidis family founded one of Greece’s first trout and salmon fish farms in Kastori, between Sparta, Megalopolis, and Kalamata in Laconia. Since then the company has developed at a steady pace.
Today G-Fish is the only company in Greece that produces gourmet Greek products like smoked trout, smoked salmon, smoked sturgeon and salmon caviar. Our fish grow in ideal living conditions in the spring waters of Saint Mammas at Mt. Taygetos.
By using the best feed, we not only produce superior quality trout, but also excellent quality sturgeon and Greece’s unique salmon.
We use the traditional hot-smoking method using beech wood, making our products distinctive for their delicate flavor and rich aroma and satisfying to the most demanding taste.
Our products are vacuum packed, making the use of preservatives unnecessary. The love and passion for our work and respect for the consumer guarantee high-quality products of matchless flavor.
TOUR AND TASTING
Visitors can watch the fish-breeding and reproduction tanks while enjoying G-Fish’s products.
They can feed the fish or do their own fishing while learning about the characteristics of each species that we breed and what differentiates them.
At the same time, they can enjoy the unique natural beauty around our premises and take walks along the trails of verdant Kastori and the northern Mt. Taygetos gorge.
A tasting session of five of our products and a glass of the local tsipouro are included in the visit.
