Plaki is a way of cooking in the oven in a shallow pan with a cover white meat fish, mainly of medium and large size, which can be easily filleted.
Such fish are the seabream, the mackerel, the common dentex, the grouper, the cod, the sole, the swordfish.

Before cooking, the fish must have been cleaned from their scales and filleted them if they are large. Lightly salt them and place them in a large pan together with the mix mentioned below.
We cut parsley and dill cut into chunks 2-3 cm long. Cut garlic into slices, the onions and the potatoes into medium-thick slices.
Stir the pulp into the grated tomato to make a homogeneous mixture.
When all our ingredients are ready, we put them together with the oil, salt, pepper and bay leaf in the fish pan. Mix the ingredients to go everywhere in the. Add the water and place the pan in the oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour.
Plaki can be made using legumes instead of fish with excellent results.
