The Museum is hosting the 4th Mushroom Festival on September, 7, 8 & 9. The festival is going to take place in the central square of the town, Rigas Feraios square.

Friday, September 7th

10:00 Place preparation
14:00 Guest arrival
18:15 The Festival begins!
18:30 Activities for children: stilts, face painting and a little bit of… magic!
20:00 Shadow puppetry with Kosmas Panayiokas
21:15 Folklore music band “Panayiotis Zosimas” and dance happenings with Dance Club of Trikala

Saturday, September 8th

10:30 Group formation for mushroom hunting
10:30 Group formation for Truffle Hunting
12:00 Activities for children: Clowns & face painting
13:00 Return of teams – Mushroom identification
19:00 Seminar about mushrooms by Mr George Konstantinidis, in chief of Greek Mushroom Society and Mrs Olga Gortzi, President and Professor of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of TEI of Thessaly
19:00 Mushroom cooking – Dozens of chefs cook! Free mushroom food and truffle pasta
19:30 Magicians and Clowns in an interactive performance for the little festival’s participants
21:00 Welcome speeches
21:15 Concert with “The Teasers” band and dance happenings with the dance school of Dimitra Kanata
22:30 Concert with «Manitarock» band and dance happenings with the Dance Club of Trikala

Sunday, September 9th

10:00 Activities for children: painting workshop and face painting
11:00 Traditional dance performance by the Dance Club of Trikala
14:30 End of the Festival

Notes:
• During the Mushroom Festival, the Museum will be open from 10:00 to 19:00.
• On Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00 and Sunday from 10.00 to 14.00, there will be hourly guided tours for the visitors of the Museum.
