Peloponnese Wine Festival Athens 2022 at the Royal Olympic Hotel.
The Peloponnese Wine Festival, the main wine event of the Peloponnesian vineyard, returns after two years at the Royal Olympic Hotel. More than 40 members of the Union of Wine Producers of The Peloponnese Vineyard meet again this year with the wine-loving public and professionals on Monday, February 21, 2022 in the heart of Athens, observing all measures for the safety of the health of visitors and exhibitors.
The event, which brings together top producers from the largest vineyard in Greece, gives the audience the opportunity to discuss with them and taste their wines, both from the new vintage and from older years. Great wines from indigenous grapes of the Peloponnese, wines from international varieties, experimental vinifications and new bottlings, all come again this year in the glasses of the Peloponnese Wine Festival giving you a complete picture of the authenticity, diversity and particularity of the Peloponnesian terroir.
The Peloponnese Wine Festival will open its doors in two periods of time. The first concerns the hours between 12:00 – 16:00 and the second between 17:00 – 21:00. The cost for entering the exhibition is 10€ for both professionals and wine lovers. The available tickets are limited and pre-purchase will be made through viva.gr. Each purchased ticket is for entry only in one of the two time periods. The choice of the time period will be made when the ticket is purchased. The price includes the commemorative tasting glass.
The event will take place in a completely safe environment for both visitors and exhibitors, observing all the health protocols that apply to the organization of events during this period of time. Entrance to the exhibition is allowed to professionals of the wine industry and wine lovers who have reached the age of 18 and at the same time have a Valid Vaccination Certificate or Certificate of Disease. When visitors enter the area, the necessary certificates will be checked, as well as the identity documents (identity card or passport). Those who do not have these documents with them will not be allowed to enter the exhibition.
Again this year the public will have the opportunity to take notes and rate the wines they taste in a simple and easy-to-use online application that will contain all the wines of the exhibition, the my.wine.gr. In this way, the user will be able to find the wines stood out, to grade them and to make his own list of ‘ favourites ‘.
