Ktima Tarazas

Tarazas Estate was founded in 2007, born from a passion for crafting high-quality wine from its privately owned vineyards. Cultivated with deep respect for the natural environment, these vineyards highlight the unique character of each grape variety, always with a focus on exceptional quality.

Located opposite Mount Athos, at an altitude of 450 meters, the estate’s vineyards lie in an ideal setting for viticulture. The red varieties grown include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Grenache Rouge, while the white varieties are Chardonnay and Malagouzia.

Tarazas Winery is situated in northern Halkidiki, in the village of Megali Panagia. Winemaking takes place in modern facilities that meet the highest standards. The winery is open to visitors and features a 250-square-meter tasting hall, where guests can enjoy guided tastings of the estate’s wines and leave with unforgettable experiences.

The Tarazas family remains committed to producing wines of outstanding quality, respecting the environment throughout the production process, and showcasing the character of their land through their products. All grapes come exclusively from the estate’s own vineyards—highly regarded and admired within the world of viticulture.

Your visit to Tarazas Estate begins with a warm welcome in our sun-kissed courtyard, where your journey unfolds among the estate’s private vineyards. As we walk through the vines, we share the story of how our winery came to life, the family philosophy that guides us, and the exceptional soil and climate conditions that shape the character of our wines.

From there, we lead you into the heart of the winery—the production area and the serene, atmospheric cellar. Here, you’ll discover how grapes become wine, exploring each step of the process, from fermentation to aging and maturation. Surrounded by the quiet elegance of the barrels, you’ll gain a true sense of the craftsmanship and dedication behind every vintage.

Your experience culminates in our elegant tasting hall, where you are invited to enjoy a guided tasting of our wines. Together, we explore the aromas, structure, acidity, and lingering finish of each label, accompanied by a beautifully arranged selection of cheeses and crackers.

The tasting includes three wines—a crisp white, a refreshing rosé, and a rich red—each expressing the unique personality of our vineyards.
