Description
Dionysia Kelaria distillery was founded out of a love for distilling and the need to provide a tsipouro of exceptional quality. With the art of distilling tsipouro long lost in Messinia, Dareos Tsipouro, located close to Kyparissia in the Peloponnese, sought out the art in the Tzoumerka mountains, mountainous Arta, and mountainous Karditsa in Epirus.
Gathering all available information passed verbally from generation to generation and combining it with advanced scientific knowledge, the distillery bottled its first tsipouro after many experimental distillations — using the local grape variety Isabela. By ensuring quality raw material from their own vineyards and selected partners in Trifilia, Dionysia Kelaria pursues the best results for an excellent artisan tsipouro.
