The estate’s story begins in Byzantine times when it operated as a winery producing the renowned Malvasia sweet white wine — a Mediterranean treasure that graced the tables of European nobility for centuries. After the Greek Revolution it became the cherished summer retreat of the esteemed Greek poet Giannis Ritsos, and in 1929 it was transformed into a traditional olive press until 1967.
