Vergina Beer

Macedonian Thrace Brewery was founded in 1996 in the Industrial Area of Komotini, Thrace, but was born long before that — in the soul of founder Demetri Politopoulos, a citizen of the world who decided to invest all his knowledge, creativity, and passion into his home country. Convinced that a country like Greece deserved its own distinct beer identity, he built what is today one of the most modern brewing facilities in the world. The guiding principle of the brewery — “when something is born, it starts out small and grows with love” — remains central to everything Vergina Beer does, with profits continuously reinvested into the finest brewing and quality standards. Macedonian Thrace Brewery was founded in 1996, in the Industrial Area of Komotini, 10 km east of Komotini. Phase one of our state-of-the-art Malting Plant was completed in 2014, while Phase Two which doubled our production capacity, was completed in 2017.
