The Orchard in Vari

“Perivoli sti Vari” (The Orchard in Vari) is a farm-to-fork restaurant on the outskirts of Athens.
Situated right in the middle of a small urban farm, it gives city dwellers the opportunity to have daily contact with nature and to enjoy healthy food prepared from our field.
Our seasonal vegetables (certified organic by TUV Austria) are grown using regenerative practices (permaculture) that we harvest daily. Our chef then uses them together with the produce of small local producers to create delightful, healthy meals in season. Our chickens provide the eggs for wonderful breakfasts, and every winter our olives are fed into a small olive press to yield extra virgin, cold-pressed olive oil.

TOUR
A picturesque stroll of our premises, discussing the values and history of the venue and its unique cultivation practices, based on the principles of Permaculture (regenerative agriculture). Visitors will have the opportunity to see unique features such as our ‘chicken tractor,’ worm farm, and biodiversity pond, and experience firsthand how food is grown in the most harmonious way with nature. They will understand the benefits for themselves, the soil, the economy, and the planet.

Entrance is only permitted for children aged 11 and above, who will be charged the adult price.
