Socrates Olive Oil

Our company is a family business, created by love for our place, olive and quality olive oil.
From Delphi, the center of the Earth in antiquity, and since 2014 we have been producing the extra virgin olive oil “Socrates” and the olives of Amfissa “Socrates Olives”.
With the main purpose of producing exceptional and premium virgin olive oil and based on the traditional ways of cultivating and caring for olive trees, we produce olive oil of excellent quality, with special aromas and characteristic aftertaste.

TOUR AND TASTING

We meet the visitors on the road between Delphi and Itea on a spot with a magnificent panoramic view of the Amphissa olive grove and the Gulf of Corinth (Ideal place for photography) where we will present the history of the olive grove.
We will then descend towards Itea and visit the olive grove, to see up close the age-old olive trees and discuss the cultivation process and the olive harvest.
During the harvest season, we meet at the olive grove where visitors will witness and eventually participate in the olive harvest if they wish. The visitors may also witness the olive oil extraction at an olive mill, within a 30-minute distance.
Visitors will get informed about the olive oil tasting process and what to know before buying olive oil from the market. They will taste different qualities of olive oils with bread or nuts as well as green and black olives together with olive paste accompanied by feta cheese dressed with olive oil and oregano, an everyday Greek meze.
