Description
Dimitris and Vasilis Chalkias were among the first Greeks to cultivate the famous mountain tea of Mount Olympus — Sideritis Scardica — overcoming significant obstacles to produce it using traditional and natural methods at an altitude of 1,000 metres on the mountain’s southern face, near Litochoro in Thessaly. This unique variety carries antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties, and according to recent German university research, may also counter the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. Olympus Herbs plants are grown exclusively from seeds of the Olympus mountain region itself, harvested carefully by hand and dried using traditional methods without any industrial processing.
