Monemvasia Winery

Monemvasia Winery was founded by G.Tsibidis in 1997 and is located in Monemvasia, Laconia, as part of a wider plan with a clearly-defined objective: the revival of the legendary Malvasia wine in its birthplace, from a winery focused on one hand in research, viticulture, winemaking, bottling, distribution, promotion and trading and, on the other hand, to produce high quality wines through a 30 ha vineyard cultivating Greek grape varieties such as monemvasia, kydonitsa, assyrtiko, asprouda, mavroudi, agiorgitiko, limniona, moschofilero, roditis and malagouzia.

TOUR AND TASTING

Our newly established winery, completed in 2020, is conveniently situated at the 57th Km of the National Road Tarapsa-Monemvasia, just 10 Km from the Castle of Monemvasia. Step into our contemporary facility and discover the heart of our wine production operation on the ground floor. Here, you’ll find our main production area equipped with essential machinery such as destemmers, pneumatic presses, stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures, and an automatic bottling line.

Venture into our underground aging space, where the magic of winemaking truly comes to life. This cellar houses the maturation of our red and white wines in oak barrels and bottles, ensuring that each vintage reaches its full potential.
