Lefkada Micro Farm is located in Nydri, a village in Lefkada. The idea for the farm started three years ago with Andreas Dimitrakopoulos, who decided to renovate his grandfather’s olive grove from scratch. His passion for a healthy lifestyle inspired him to create a place where people from all over the world could come in contact with nature and participate in workshops and gastronomic experiences.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Visitors can spend their mornings at the farm learning how to make simple yet authentic Greek recipes in the farm’s open-air kitchen. Through experiential workshops, the micro farm aims to share its love for authentic Greek cuisine in an interactive way. Participants will have the unique opportunity to harvest organic vegetables from the garden and create iconic Greek recipes with the help and guidance of the farm’s staff.
One of the workshop activities is learning how to make traditional pies with ‘Phyllo’, a thin dough used for traditional Greek pies and other recipes. Participants will open the dough together, harvest vegetables from the garden, and create four different fillings for different recipes.
Overall, Lefkada Micro Farm offers a unique and immersive experience for anyone who wants to connect with nature and learn more about authentic Greek cuisine.
