Description

Situated just a few kilometers from Myrina in the Mavrambela region, our state-of-the-art winery combines scientific expertise, extensive experience in the wine industry, and a deep respect for tradition to produce high-quality wines exclusively from organically cultivated grapes. Our aspiration over time is to make our products a worthy ambassador of our island..

Established in 2002, Limnos Organic Wines strives to create limited quantities of exceptional wines and distillates using organic grapes. The company was co-founded by Giannis Savoglou, an oenologist with over 20 years of experience in crafting Limnos wine, and Pantelis Tsivolas, a business management professional well-versed in wine marketing. The company’s core philosophy revolves around the use of the captivating Muscat of Alexandria grapes, which not only result in dry aromatic wines but also a range of unique sweet wines and other limited-production offerings.

The winery adheres to strict sanitation and quality standards and holds certifications in accordance with ELOT 1416/2000 (HACCP) and ELOT ISO 9001/2000. As dedicated custodians of the environment and advocates for the well-being of both producers and consumers, Savoglou and Tsivolas have committed themselves to using exclusively organically grown grapes. These grapes are free from chemical fertilizers, pesticides, hormones, and genetically modified organisms. To ensure compliance, our vineyards are carefully supervised by an experienced agricultural engineer and oenologist, and they undergo rigorous inspections and certifications from the Certification and Inspection Organization of Organic Products (D.I.O.).
