Kir-Yianni was founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris — one of the leading figures in the Greek wine industry — when he left the Boutari Wine Group, the premium family wine company his grandfather established in 1879. Today, led by Stelios Boutaris (son of Yiannis), Kir-Yianni continues a long family tradition focused on high-quality wines that combine style with authenticity. The estate’s vineyards span two exceptional wine regions of Macedonia: Naoussa and Amyndaeon, on both sides of Mount Vermio — home to the great Xinomavro variety.
