Description

The Hatziemmanouil family has been heavily involved in the history of wine on the Aegean island of Kos since 1929, cultivating the land and producing high-quality wines.
The family established a new winery in Asfendiou, Kos, in 2004 where the heart of the estate now beats. The estate grows indigenous grape varieties, such as the charismatic Malagouzia and Assyrtiko and the cosmopolitan Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Rouge, and Syrah. Winemaking, using traditional and modern techniques, results in the production of high quality and award-winning wines, which have stirred the interest of locals and foreign visitors alike.
The Hatziemmanouil Winery was completed in 2004 and covers 600 square meters over three floors. The largest area is occupied by the hall with an array of wine storage tanks, the majority of which are cooled to ensure that the wines are kept at appropriate conditions, and the wine cellar where the winery’s wooden barrels are resting with Syrah and sweet wine aging for up to twelve months.
