Tour and Experiential Activities at Korogonas Ark

The holistic community project Korogonas Ark was born at the end of 2012 upon the virgin land of the small Korogonas plateau in southern Peloponnese, 25km west of Monemvasia and 25km south of Molaoi. It is a member of the Global Ecovillages Network (GEN), located approximately 120 meters above sea level with a mild climate and clean air.

Wild olive, carob and pear trees and wild asparagus and herbs are protected alongside local evergreen bushes. More than 300 trees and a variety of bushes grow here. Vegetable gardens have been created using natural farming and permaculture practices. Olives are harvested exclusively by hand to produce super-olive oil, and carobs and wild sage blossoms are gathered by hand for their healing benefits.

The fields of Korogonas Ark feature natural paths and spaces for groups to gather — under the shade of big trees named to reflect their personalities, like the Princess, the Four Graces, and the Dancer.

• Experiential Activities: Participate in a 3.5-hour range of hands-on activities — including self-empowerment, peace, and resilience exercises via circle games, body movement, sound, deep ecology activities, 5 rhythms, unity singing, and circle dancing — guided by the community’s facilitators
• Farm Products Tasting: Taste Korogonas Ark’s organic seasonal produce and experience first-hand the quality of food grown with genuine care for the soil and ecosystem
