Mesotopos Women’s Cooperative – Tour & Tasting in Lesbos

Twenty-five women from Mesotopos, Lesbos, joined forces in 1998 to establish the Mesotopos Women’s Cooperative and revive forgotten flavours through traditional recipes. Their dedication and hard work have transformed their cooperative into a thriving business, housed in an impressive 850-square-meter building. This facility features modern cooking facilities that meet all production and quality control standards. Additionally, it features a showroom for local products, offices, educational facilities, an event hall, and a parking lot.

As a unique gastronomic and cultural centre in southwest Lesbos, the Mesotopos Women’s Cooperative offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere, inviting visitors to indulge in culinary experiences that bridge past and future. Through our modern laboratory, we harness the bounty of the Lesbian land to resurrect these forgotten flavours, imbuing them with value and presenting them to you. In doing so, we hope to evoke cherished memories of a bygone era when life was more carefree, with the aromas of your grandmother’s kitchen.
