Liepouris winery was founded in 1952 by grandfather Dimitrios in Keratea, close to Athens airport, and established the business which is now being managed by his grandson Dimitrios, has replaced the old and traditional equipment with a new modern, improving the quality of the wines produced while keeping the local character by using modern winemaking methods, and giving a distinct weight to Greece’s traditional wine, retsina, that ages in oak barrels to achieve a very high quality.
Our vineyards stretch across an area of 18 hectares and produce between 3,000 and 4,000 kg/ ha, of the Savatiano variety as the dominant one, as well as Mandilaria, Agiorgitiko, Muscat of Hamburg, and Malagousia, all Greek grape varieties.
TOUR AND TASTING
Visitors will be guided to the premises of the beautiful stone-built winery, they will be informed about the history of the winery, enjoy a wine-tasting session, and amble through the vineyards.
