From the 16th till the 19th of August, in Grevena town, the 15th Pan-Hellenic Mushroom Festival is held at the Mushroom Park, opposite the Governor’s Office.
Daily functions, in the area of the festival, the tavern, the refreshment stand, the exhibition and sale of mushroom products, local products (food, handicrafts), artworks having the mushroom as a theme, the exhibits of the Lavdas Mushroom Museum and traditional seeds. This year, the sewing workshop of the Fellios detention centre store will participate for the first time (on the 16th and 17th of August).
At the same time, if in the meantime it has rained and we’ve got mushroom fruitage, visitors will be able to form groups and with their vehicles, ride to nearby or distant forests for search and harvest of mushrooms.
Every evening, from 19.30 to 21.30, outdoor mushroom cooking will take place and dishes will be served free of charge.
