The 10th Aegina Fistiki (pistachio) Festival “Aegina Fistiki Fest” will take place from Thursday, September the 13th until Sunday, September the 16th, 2018, with event administrator the Welfare Company of the Municipality of Aegina.
The Pistachio Festival, right after the fruit harvest, is the largest annual festival of the island, dedicated to the most emblematic product of the region, the pistachio, which stands out for its quality, taste and beneficial properties.
The heart of the Festival beats at the trade fair, which takes place in the port of Aegina along the wharf, where more than 40 exhibiting producers are hosted, who promote not only their pistachio production but also their products that use pistachio as raw material and also a range of other items such as handmade ceramics, embroidery and lace, jewelry, other agricultural products, sweets and drinks.
The Festival comprises and completes a multitude of parallel events, such as painting exhibitions, concerts, music, dance and theatrical performances as well as gastronomic events.
