Description
In 1944, Georgios Voulgaris, a dedicated farmer and livestock breeder, laid the foundation for a small dairy, harnessing the rich, fresh milk from his own animals. His son, Stefanos Voulgaris, carried forward this legacy, keeping the dairy alive with a modest herd while also cultivating and trading a variety of garden-fresh vegetables.
Today, the grandson, Georgios Voulgaris, has taken this family tradition to new heights. He has expanded the herd and transformed the dairy into a modern yet charmingly traditional facility that welcomes visitors. Here, he crafts exquisite dairy products and offers a glimpse into the timeless art of Naxian cheesemaking, blending innovation with heritage.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Guests will have the unique opportunity to select from two exceptional experiences at our farm that showcase the best of Naxos. Each option offers a perfect blend of scenic beauty, traditional crafts, and delicious flavors.
Booking Options
Visitors have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the art of cheesemaking with a hands-on lesson and a guided tour of our charming dairy facilities. They can also enjoy a leisurely stroll through our lush orchards and vibrant fields. To top off the experience, guests will savor the exquisite flavors of Arseniko cheese paired with honey and wine, and Xynotyro cheese accompanied by fresh watermelon and raki.
Guests will relish a scenic walk through our orchards and fields and join us for interactive cooking classes. Together, we will pick fresh vegetables from our gardens and explore traditional Naxian recipes using our wood-fired oven. You’ll also experience the process of making Arseniko cheese, practice goat milking, and take part in harvesting seasonal vegetables.
