Ben Olive Mill – Olive Tour & Tasting

Ben Olive Mill is a private family-owned olive press built within an organic olive grove in the Peloponnese between Kalamata and Megalopoli, producing extra virgin olive oil. All fine specimens of the Koroneiki olive tree variety were planted in 1890, making them over a hundred years old.

The estate has never employed intensive farming methods — it operates as a natural botanical garden where local self-sowing flora thrives. Olives are harvested by the gentlest methods, transferred on special protective nets into sacks of natural material, and taken to the extraction press daily. While the essence of the techniques remains profoundly traditional, the pressing stage benefits from state-of-the-art equipment to maximise purity and quality over quantity.
