Nestled in the breathtaking Mirambello Valley, Vassilakis Estate is a hidden gem just a short drive from Heraklion, Agios Nikolaos, and Elounda. Easily accessible yet immersed in nature, our estate offers an authentic Cretan experience.

For over 150 years, our family has been crafting exceptional extra virgin olive oil with passion and expertise. One of the first to establish an olive press in the region, we’ve upheld sustainable and traditional practices since 1865.

Manolis & Niki Vassilakis continue the tradition, passing down their knowledge to the next generation—teaching their granddaughters the art of olive harvesting.

Each summer, we welcome thousands of visitors from around the world. Due to popular demand, we now offer seven immersive guided tours and exclusive tasting experiences—a journey through history, tradition, and flavor.

TOUR AND TASTING
 

Arrival at Vassilakis Estate where you will be greeted by your guide 

You will be guided to the tasting area, where you will be invited to discover the delicious and wonderful world of top-quality extra virgin olive oil.

Υοu will be guided through tastings of 3 different olive oils, 2 of which are high-grade extra virgins. The third sample is a poor, low-grade olive oil. Between tastings you will be given bread and apple to clear your palate.

Tour of olive press:
