Description
The “Mer des Oliviers de Delphes”, olive oil is produced from the olive groves of Amfissa – Delphi. These groves exist for more than 5000 years, being the oldest in Greece and Europe, and one of the oldest on the planet. In this region, ancient Greeks used to cultivate olive trees producing olive oil before anywhere in Greece.
Within this environment, the Kanatas family cultivates olive trees for hundreds of years using the same techniques. Grandfather Vasilis Kanatas inherited 2500 trees from his father who traded olives and olive oil in Athens and generally in Greece.
While the variety of Amfissa olives has always been known for its excellent quality and taste, very few people know about its unique quality and flavor characteristics.
