Description
Located in Andros, the second largest island of the Cyclades in Greece, Kourtesis Wine Estate offers a unique wine experience. Situated in the area of Ipsilou, the estate’s vineyard grows in stone-built terraces at an altitude of 100 meters above the sea, benefiting from the salt-carrying sea meltemi winds. Traditional buildings provide accommodation for wine enthusiasts. The cave winery produces wines influenced by Andros’ microclimate. Cultivating local Cycladic varieties like Mavrotragano, Malagouzia, Assyrtiko, and Mandilaria, alongside indigenous treasures such as Potamisi, the vineyard follows biodynamic and organic practices. With 158 days of sunshine per year, the region’s microclimate fosters healthy grape growth. The estate holds a special certification for organic farming, showcasing its commitment to sustainability and quality wine production.
