THE 7TH ATHENS STREET FOOD FESTIVAL IS COMING UP IN MAY AND IS LOOKING FOR THE BEST TASTES OF THE ENTIRE GALAXY!
For Athens foodies, May is always the month of the Athens Street Food Festival! This year is no exception, the biggest food festival in the country will take place every Friday, Saturday & Sunday of May (May 10-11-12, 17-18-19 and 24-25-26), at its usual spot, Amaksostasio in Gazi.
When Athens Street Food Festival first opened its doors in 2016, the meaning of street food in Greece was practically unknown. However the festival’s success was so impressive, that sparked an entire movement, with numerous restaurants and chefs throughout the country starting to offer their own takes on street food!
Ever since, each May Athens Street Food Festival is the leading cultural event in Athens, with over half a million visitors within five years. During that time, the festival has presented countless ideas on versions of street food, constantly showing and creating new trends in the field of food and beverage.
In this year’s, 7th Athens Street Food Festival, we aim to present unique and special tastes from every corner of our Galaxy of tastes! Every country, every region, and each city has its own cuisine and secret taste that can be enjoyed in the “street”.
We aim for this particular joy and satisfaction one finds in the process of discovering a brand new “food universe”. We are in search of these authentic tastes, this one dish that either is new or has been preserved same for many years, this recipe that we have yet to try out and which will shake our “universe”.
From Greece as well as every corner of the world, the 7th Athens Street Food Festival will yet again present many exclusive and innovative ideas from cuisines of the world.
