Greece becomes the center of gastronomy and wine of Europe with the organization of the 16th Annual Congress of the European Council of the Gastronomy & Oenology Brotherhoods CEUCO, in Athens 19 – 20 – 21 October 2018.
The Congress in Greece, “EUROPE OF THE TASTES – Greece: Tourism – Wine Gastronomy” will host, in addition to the conferences, a major exhibition targeted to promote the interconnection of the agricultural production with consumption.
The Regional and Municipal Authorities, though the event will promote and highlight the European historical heritage with the local gastronomic culture of each region and the traditional products.
The emphasis will be on policies and actions for the development of the sectors of tourism, agriculture, products processing.
The Congress will host this year a geographically diffused presentation of the especially locally certified Greek products, local dishes and of course the wide range of Greek wines. There will be a special report and presentation of the Mediterranean diet, which is proven to support health and longevity, as well as local dietary habits and programs, and will combine presentations and promotion of food products, beverages and dishes by highlighting Greek gastronomic tourism, which in recent years emerges as a developing special – alternative form and is based on 365 days of tourism.
The Tourism- Culture – Gastronomy and Wine Exhibition will be taking place at the Zappeion Building and will include Stands of various Embassies, Regional Authorities, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Cooperatives and individuals, aiming to present and promote their products to professionals of the industry and to the public, who will visit Exhibition.
