An event that showcases the gastronomic wealth of the Mediterranean
The culinary excellence and quality of the Greek and Mediterranean products, in general, will be shown through unique dishes that distinguished Greek and foreign chefs will create during the event.
Mediterranean Gastronomy Forum, which will take place during the three days of the exhibition, in the specially designed stage in Hall 1, aims to promote the unique gastronomic and nutritional value of Greek food and beverages, to confirm their dominant position in the pyramid of the Mediterranean diet and contribute to further highlighting the export prospects of Greek products on the world market.
Distinguished chefs, using a great variety of excellent products from every corner of our country -13 Regions of Greece will participate as exhibitors at FOOD EXPO 2019 – will showcase to Greek and international professional visitors unique culinary ideas and ways which can elaborate in order to make a difference for their businesses.
Through interactive culinary demonstrations, Greek and foreign professionals from the wholesale, distribution, organized retail, catering and hotels sectors will be able to discover a wide range of products from all over Greece while at the same time through these presentations the role of Greek gastronomy as an important vehicle for the promotion of their exports will be confirmed.
Finally, on the stage of the Mediterranean Gastronomy Forum, through various gastronomic shows to be held by chefs from the countries of Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and others, will be showcased the affinity of the kitchens of the Mediterranean countries.

Greek Gastronomy Workshop
In the framework of FOOD EXPO 2019, the “Brigade” initiative, consisting of chefs and official bodies, producers and others, engaged in Greek food, will present a workshop entitled “Building a Better Future for Greek Gastronomy”.
“Greek Breakfast”, one of the most important initiatives for the promotion of our gastronomic heritage, as well as the promotion of the Greek tourist product in general, will be hosted for the first time at the Food Expo 16-18 March 2019 in Hall 2, Stand C27 – D34 of the Metropolitan Expo.
During the course of the trade show, a number of compelling seminars specifically intended for the hospitality, foodservice and retail professionals will take place at a specially-designed area.
