Description
Marianna and Stavroula are two oenologists united by a shared vision, a bond formed through their journey in the world of wine. Their project was born out of a deep love for wine and the vineyard, always rooted in a close connection with nature. For them, wine is a pure expression of the land it comes from. With this initiative, they invite people to experience wine in its truest form—through outdoor excursions and unique activities that bring everyone closer to what they are most passionate about.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Step into an experience that goes beyond the ordinary, blending the beauty of Athens with the magic of Greek wine. The journey begins with a gentle walk from the Herodeion, leading you to a specially chosen spot in nature, on the Hill of Philopappos. With sweeping views of the city and an atmosphere of tranquility, the stage is set for a truly immersive cultural and tasting experience.
There, a wine picnic awaits: four carefully selected wines from native Greek varieties guide you through the country’s diverse flavors, paired with freshly baked bread, fragrant extra virgin olive oil, olives, and local cheeses. Each taste complements the wines, highlighting their unique character.
Through storytelling that weaves together mythology, tradition, and modern winemaking, you’ll uncover the rich history of wine in Greece. At the same time, with the help of a flavor map and a Greek wine map, you’ll learn how to identify aromas, tastes, and regions with confidence—taking your very first steps into wine tasting like a true connoisseur.
