Description
Gripioti Farm, situated on the Island of Skopelos in the village of St. George within the Kalogiros region, spans over one hectare. It offers a picturesque view of Chalkidiki and is conveniently located near the charming St. John’s Church, known for being a filming location for certain scenes in the movie Mama Mia. The farm specializes in cultivating organic dried black Skopelos plums, commonly referred to as “sweet mirabelles” in Skopelos, as well as organic dried sour Skopelos plums, known as “sour mirabelles.”
Tour and Tasting
Thanassis Gripiotis emphasizes his objective of providing visitors to the farm with a comprehensive and engaging experience that encompasses observing the trees and ovens-dryers, as well as immersing themselves in the entire production process until the creation of the end product. With a warm and inclusive approach, he extends a heartfelt welcome to all, offering delectable homemade sweets crafted from plums as a delightful treat;
During harvest, in August and September, visitors will also have the opportunity to sample fresh plums directly from the trees, as well as enjoy dried plums, and plum jam, accompanied by plum liqueur.
