Description
The Mazos family started cultivating their vineyards in the acclaimed Nemea region, Peloponnese, in 1876. The unique microclimate of Nemea, combined with ever-growing experience in viticulture, has enabled this family business to flourish with a focus on products of excellent quality.
Today ‘Golden Black – Organic Grape Products’ specializes in the production of the world-renowned Corinthian raisin variety. Production takes place under strict quality control, resulting in organic Corinthian raisins dried naturally in the shade — bearing the name that characterizes them: “Black Gold.”
During harvest season, visitors may help hang grapes on wires under the wooden shade structure to dry, or help collect them once dried. They may also witness the raisin preparation process before it is commercialized, with a tasting to follow.
