The “Zozefinos” cheese-dairy is located in the area of Ano Manna on the island of Syros. It is a family business and constitutes a modern milk processing plant. The equipment for the pasteurization, processing, and production of these products are modern and some of them are of the latest technology, while at the same time the food safety system ISO 22000: 2005 is followed. At the same time and in a perfectly natural environment in Phinikas village, fodder is grown, cows are bred, and high-quality dairy products are produced.
Zozefinos cheese-dairy is the largest of its kind on the island of Syros. Along with its famous graviera, anthotiro, grothotiraki (a fresh local cheese that gets its name from its round shape), it also produces the well-known San Mihali using a traditional recipe, a cheese with a PDO (protected designation of origin) also called ‘the parmesan of Syros’, as well as yogurt and other products.
