According to mythology, Oenotros was the youngest son of King Lycaon and the first Greek to leave his land to find a colony at the bay of Taranto, in southern Italy, to produce wine.
In a similar venture and setting out from the town of Drama we established our Oenotria Land in Kapandriti to produce wine in the land of Attica, which is steeped in its rich history of wine-making.
The estate includes a small modern winery for the vinification of the grapes of our private vineyard. However, Oenotria Land is a lot more. In our 10,500 square meter complex, we have the Costa Lazaridi Wine Museum, a hall for professional and social events, conference rooms, and of course, underground cellars for the aging of wines. The array of exhibits, dating as far back as the 1600’s, combined with specially designed audiovisual support materials, offer visitors the opportunity to interactively discover the history of vine cultivation as well as wine distillation and balsamic vinegar production.
