Agios Antonios Women’s Agricultural Cooperative was founded in June 1999 and was the first women’s cooperative to be established in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki.
The purpose of the cooperative is to employ women living in small villages of the countryside, enabling them to increase their family income, to contribute to regional development, and to preserve and extend tradition with the production and distribution of traditional, healthy, high-quality handmade products made with care.
The cooperative uses recipes that reflect the area’s cultural heritage of the region: Perek, with handmade filo that is wood-baked in a kiln, siron, ivristo, makarina, hilopites, trahana, jams and spoon sweets made from fresh fruit without additives or preservatives.
The cooperative’s coffee and sweet shop, Cafeglikopolio, is located 35 km from Thessaloniki, at the most beautiful spot of the village of Agios Antonios, from where you can enjoy the views of Mount Olympus and the seasonal colors of nature while enjoying a coffee, the spoon sweets, traditional perek, galaktoboureko, pita, ravani, and other treats.

• A guided tour to witness the production process in the working area of the cooperative.
• A tasting session at our coffee shop of traditional perek with feta cheese and handmade koulourakia with cinnamon
