Eleonas Estate, close to Rovies on Euboea, numbers approximately 3,500 olives trees, many of them very old. The whole olive grove is organically grown so as our olives retain all the natural substances essential to good human health.
Eleonas guesthouse is a small hotel built with ecological consciousness. Situated on a hill and surrounded by olive trees organically grown, it offers local breakfast delicacies, olives from our trees and eggs from our henhouse.
The well-tended farm is the “garden” where guests of Eleonas can relax, enjoy a book from our library, take walks on the estate, see the wildflowers, gather greens, listen to the birds, take snapshots of the oddly-shaped trunks of the olive trees, enjoy the fresh air, stroll through the olive trees or visit the waterfalls. Within easy walking distance of the sea and a short ride from local amenities, this is the ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of life today.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
At the inn we all have an ecological mindset. The weaving and the making of paper are based on recycling. We create recycled sheets of paper from used paper. Then we decorate and use them in handcrafts.
