The organic farm Lithies stretches across an area of 5.5 hectares with olive groves, vineyards, and orchards situated in the middle of the Vassilikos route within the National Marine Park on the island of Zakynthos. It is an ideal setting for idyllic holidays within a lush green environment, hilly terrain with 700 olive trees, overlooking the beautiful blue of the Mediterranean. Handed down from generation to generation, the property is today run by Nellos and Fotini, who built these villas with love and respect to the environment, maintain the certified organic farm full of pines, fruit, vegetables and olive trees.
During your stay at the farm, you will have the chance to taste many of the organic products produced by the Giannouli family, such as honey, wine, fresh fruits, and vegetables that Fotini uses to prepare delicious local food that visitors can appreciate in the traditional open-air restaurant and bar on the grounds. All these will help you enjoy another lifestyle and delight in the calm and tranquility of the landscape.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Visitors can watch or participate in the picking and pressing of grapes for making wine in early autumn. The process, taking place from morning till noon, differs by a few days each year.
