Description

Astarti is a family business engaged in the production, standardization, and marketing of organic and traditional Kytherian products of limited production for which it has also received several international awards.
Within this context, Astarti is also developing in the field of gastronomy by exploiting local production and testing new products that are abundant in the nature of Kythera, in order to integrate them into gastronomic cuisine while at the same time aims at educating and training others on local cuisine, traditional practices, and cooking materials.
Astarti provides as well a sophisticated eco-friendly bioclimatic Mediterranean place to escape, the Astarti Hidden Retreats, offering intimate and comfortable living space for our guests in perfect balance with the natural environment and working with the natural elements: earth, air, life, and water.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

VIsitors learn about basic edible wild Mediterranean plants, collect them and cook them in different ways, either in their room kitchen at Astarti Hidden Retreats, or at the Family house. The aim of the 3-hour session is to discover the basis for the flavors of the earth.
