A long-held vision of the enologist George Skouras was the foundation of Domaine Skouras that came true in 1986, in a small wine-making facility in Pyrgela, a village on the outskirts of Argos. A new establishment of a boutique winery at the village of Gimno followed, while in 2004 the business was finally relocated in Malandreni, inside the zone of Nemea Appellation.
The new infrastructure increased, the volumes expanded, technical skills were employed, but not to produce technical wines. On the contrary, Domaine Skouras team sees technology as a way of control and observation, thus securing minimal intervention on wines, while investing heavily in wine tourism to provide guests with facilities of high aesthetics for the purpose of education and entertainment.
TOUR AND TASTING
Visitors are able to see all parts of the winery, from the warehouses to the wine-aging cellar guided by capable, cosmopolitan guides that make the visit both enjoyable and unforgettable. A wine tasting session follows.
