The Avantis Winery is located 4 km southeast of the town of Chalkida, in the village Mytikas or Ambelia in the heart of the Lilantio plain.
The farmhouse was built in 1936 in accordance with the traditional aesthetic of Lilantio houses. In that era, the grapes were deposited on the floor and pressed by feet. The must then flowed naturally into underground tanks, where the fermentation of the wine was taking place.
Now, these historic premises host the tasting room of the estate’s wines. The earlier structure was added to the present winery.

The visit entails an exploration of the production areas and the barrel cellar, where you will be guided by our knowledgeable staff. During the tour, you will delve into the rich history of the Avantis Estate dating back to 1830, and gain insights into the intricate process behind our wine production. Subsequently, you will have the opportunity to savor our wines while being expertly guided by our sommelier.
